Shamanic Indian drummer, flutist and educator from Canada now in Costa Rica

Canadian drummer, native flutist and educator has brought his special double-sided mahogany barrel drum all the way from his home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada, as well has several native style wooden flutes from his collection, to bring his original spirited sounds and perspectives on modern living,  to Costa Rica.

Dieter Braun is a spirit drummer, flutist and educator who has performed for several years in Saskatchewan Canada, and has intrigued audiences with his trance drumming, heartfelt flute playing and messages. Dieter has recorded several CDs of original music and has an active internet presence via his website www.indianinthemachine.com and other sites that post his articles on health, universal consciousness, and spiritual balanced living.  Most recently this summer, Dieter performed with a group of shamans from Ecuador at a popular Canadian prairie music festival. People enjoy Dieter´s ability to weave in spiritual messages with his music, and to engage with his audiences in a conscious and heartfelt way.

Dieter believes that we are all spiritual beings living in physical bodies, and has written several hundred articles on the spiritual nature of modern life which he shares on his Internet website.  Says Dieter, ¨Costa Rica is changing at a very fast pace...the brands, products and way of life of North America and beyond, have infiltrated ¨pura vida¨ and have drastically altered the Costa Rica way of life.  Modern development has created more convenience, financial wealth (for a few) however lots of poverty, unhealth, unwellness and unconscious living are also prevalent in a way that was unheard of only a few decades ago....I believe that Costa Rica can learn how to adapt new technologies and products without sacrificing it´s rich environment, heritage and culture on the altars of foreign corporate greed and corruption.   The people of Costa Rica have been naive in accepting all new technologies such as microwaves, cell phones, processed food, and fast food etc., and even foreign values, attitudes and beliefs, without a full understanding of the health and spiritual complications that they are willfully creating for themselves and the planet¨.

Dieter encourages the entire world to proceed cautiously in it´s relationship with China...he says, ¨China plays a dirty game....they will befriend you and offer you cheap consumer products made by chinese sweatshops and slavery, but it comes at a huge avoidable cost to the environment, planet and even the human soul.  In Canada, cheap Chinese goods and other international products have flooded the market creating less local employment, destroying local economies, and creating more reliance on foreign interests which have no spiritual foundation and will thus destroy rather than create a true harmonious way of living....if you don´t believe things have already gone too far in Costa Rica and must be immediately dealt with,  visit beaches near Montezuma on the Nicoya pennisula, and see the environmental disaster of plastic bottles, shoes, cups, hats, pens, toys, and packaging washing up on the shores. Maybe the Chinese president could have gone there and picked up some garbage during his so-called historic visit!¨

For this special season coming up help bring the power of conscious spiritual energy to your local gatherings, tourist-related businesses, events and more...for the months of December 2007 - April 2008 Dieter will be available for bookings and will consider all reasonable offers including barter/exchange.
