Hi Patrick,

This might seem like a small thing, but I think this might involve some reactivation of the earthgrid in this area which might cause reverberation across the globe. Maybe I am nuts, but this is a profound development here. If you think it is appropriate could you get the word out on this? Thanks, Fred

Friends of the Well, in collaboration with the Institute of Ecotourism of Sedona Arizona, and Hopi Elder Jerry Honawa have initiated the replanting of traditional gardens at the place now called Montezuma Well after an 800 year hiatus.

On April 4th Mr. Honawa met with Friends of the Well President Fred Shute and Institute of Ecotourism Director Diane Dearmore at the fields just south of the picnic area at the Well. A garden plot was mapped out and a plan to re-engineer the 1000 year old irrigation system connection into the plot area was discussed.

Friends of the Well has agreed to construct a fence around the plot to protect it from wildlife and to provide the labor and resources to turn over the soil.

Mr. Honawa will supervise the planting of the crops, including ceremonial sweet corn and historic food crops squash, melon and beans. Historic seed stocks will be utilized for this purpose. Jerry will also oversee the care of the garden and harvesting. FOTW will assist in the tending of the garden.

John Schroeder, Archaeologist for the National Monument will coordinate the efforts of the National monument to facilitate this historic process. Special thanks to Kathy Davis, Administrator of Montezuma Castle, Montezuma Well and Tuzigoot National Monuments for making this possible.

The significance of planting a simple garden may seem hard to appreciate. however the act of completing an ancient circle returning to this holy and sacred place by the spiritual masters of our continent may well create profound blessings for our planet.

Friends of the Well is solicitating money and resources to build the perimeter fence , to rebuild the irrigation system and to turn over the soil. If you can contribute or for more information email or call Fred Shute 928-592-9320.

Thank you.
