Donald Trump just picked one of the worst fast-food CEOs, Andy Puzder, to head up the Department of Labor. Here are 3 things you need to know about him:
- Puzder is paid more in a day than my coworkers or I make in a whole year.
- Since he became CEO of Hardee's / Carl's Jr, his restaurants have been charged with 98 federal or state safety violations.
- He doesn't believe in unions, calls minimum wage and overtime "restrictions," and even considers employees just an "extra cost."
This is the guy that Donald Trump wants to put in charge of PROTECTING workers.
The message is pretty clear – instead of taking on the rigged economy, Trump wants to rig it even more.
It doesn't matter who the labor secretary is, the Fight for $15 won't back down for one minute in our demands for $15 an hour and union rights for all workers.
If Trump is going to be a President for the fast-food corporations instead of for the fast-food workers he is going to be on the wrong side of history.
