"We're going to plow right through it," he told supporters at the Values Voters Summit on Friday.
Unwavering in his support of Kavanaugh, the Senate leader said "President Trump has nominated a stunningly successful individual," while asking his fellow colleagues to "wait out the obstruction" that Democrats have forged.
"You’ve watched the fight. You’ve watched the tactics. But here’s what I want to tell you: in the very near future, Judge Kavanaugh will be on the United States Supreme Court," said McConnell, prompting the crowd to thunderously applaud.
The Senate Majority Leader asked that people not lose heart and "keep the faith."
