In a time when virtually everything is being politicized, now even food shopping has joined that club.

A family-owned Christian grocery store in Arkansas has ignited controversy with flyers connecting the national debate over border security to the beliefs of millions of Christians.

The message from Mac’s Cashsaver that’s more sizzling than a summertime barbecue states:

“Heaven has a wall, a gate and a strict immigration policy. Hell has open borders. Let that sink in.”

Some customers find the wording in bad taste.

“It just doesn’t make any sense,” Tyler Reede told KARK-TV. “Why would they put that on there?”

But others find it suits their palate well.

“I didn’t have a problem with it,” Logan Reede told the station. “If they want to come here, they can come here legally.”

The manager at one location, Jack Digby, admits people have been calling about the matter.

“They’re just making a political spin out of it and getting the wrong idea of what it really means,” he told the station.

He added the store’s owner is behind the message, which was intended to voice a Christian connotation instead of anything political.

“I am for the company and I am for God. There’s nothing wrong with what that statement says,” Digby said.

Nan and Byron McKeeby at the Gateway Pundit commented on the matter, saying:

“Note that the grocer would only be free to make that statement in their advertisement using legacy print media, because in the modern digital gulag, that kind of free speech is not equal to progressive free speech. The ad would be banned, and his business de-platformed. They have a Facebook page … but for how long?”
