Only half of the illegal immigrants that claim asylum ever show up for a court hearing. Many of the illegal immigrants simply walk into the country and start a new life, they go into various states and are never found again.

Those who file for asylum need little proof to get it under our current system. They simply make a claim about violence and oppression in their own country and they will be accepted with little debate.

There are reports that individuals with knowledge of the U.S. immigration system are coaching illegal immigrants on what to say to U.S. officials when they get to the border. This first came up when the migrant caravans were approaching the U.S. Border.

4.) Most Unqualified

Most of the migrants that are coming to the border do not qualify for the asylum process. According to FAIR (Federation for American Immigration Reform), most of the migrants admit to being economic migrants, not individuals fleeing danger.

Less Than 4% of migrants are leaving their country due to violence according to a surveydone in 2017. This backs up other data collected by FAIR that suggests many are leaving for economic opportunity.
