There is nobody with a more anti-Trump message than Rep. Maxine Waters.

On every issue, she is squarely against President Trump.

But now she just ended her career after Trump crushed her on this top issue.

When the economy is booming and unemployment is at record lows, fighting against the President and his agenda is a selfish move.

It shows a disregard for what’s good for America in exchange for scoring cheap political points against an opponent.

And that’s exactly what Maxine Waters does every single day.

She is the leading proponent of impeachment and even believes that anybody who works for President Trump should never be allowed to appear in public.

The latest issue she’s been attacking President Trump on is tariffs with Mexico.

Last week, Trump put out a proposal to enact a 5% tariff on goods from Mexico until they take real action to stop illegal immigration.

Both Republicans and Democrats spoke out against the move, but were powerless to stop it with Trump’s solid Republican majority in the Senate.

Despite that, Maxine Waters went after Trump claiming his tariff threat was nothing more than a bluff.

“Spineless GOP Senators grew a backbone this week & finally stood up to their Dictator Trump on something: Mexico tariffs, also known as a TAX INCREASE on American consumers,” she tweeted.

“Bet your bottom dollar, Trump will back off by the weekend,” she predicted. “Just another bluff!”

But, as it turns out, Trump’s plan is working.

Mexico has signed an agreement with the United States to take harsh measures on illegal immigration.

Trump announced this on twitter late last week:

“I am pleased to inform you that The United States of America has reached a signed agreement with Mexico. The Tariffs scheduled to be implemented by the U.S. on Monday, against Mexico, are hereby indefinitely suspended. Mexico, in turn, has agreed to take strong measures to stem the tide of Migration through Mexico, and to our Southern Border.”

The U.S. State Department followed up with further details in a statement which said:

“In response, Mexico will authorize the entrance of all of those individuals for humanitarian reasons, in compliance with its international obligations, while they await the adjudication of their asylum claims. Mexico will also offer jobs, healthcare, and education according to its principles.”

This means that Mexico will house those making asylum claims instead of allowing them to enter the United States.

And they are already taking steps to follow through.

Mexican authorities are stepping up their efforts to stop groups of illegal immigrants flooding in from their southern border before they can reach the United States.

The United States will also be working more closely with Mexican border authorities to train them to better secure their border.

Trump’s tariff threat worked flawlessly, despite intense opposition.

Maxine Waters, once again, couldn’t have been more wrong.
