Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen has resigned from the position and Trump immediately replaced her with now acting DHS Secretary Kevin McAleenan. McAleenan studied lawat the University of Chicago where he received his Juris Doctor Degree. He also received a Bachelor of arts degree from Amherst College. McAleenan practiced with his law degree, before going into public service, in California. California is going to be a huge obstacle to overcome when building the wall so his experience in the state will come in handy.
