Chuck Schumer finally crossed the line.
And now Democrats are confronted with a difficult decision about Chuck Schumer’s future.
That reality hit Democrats in the face as all hell broke loose when Chuck Schumer got hit with this Supreme Court surprise.
On the day before the Supreme Court was set to hear oral arguments on a challenge to a Louisiana law requiring abortion providers to obtain hospital admitting privileges, Chuck Schumer ranted and raved at a rally in favor of allowing abortion mills to snuff out the lives of the unborn.
Chuck Schumer spoke at the event and made it clear Democrats will not stand for any restrictions on the ability of abortion providers to lure women into their facilities so they can terminate their babies’ lives.
In an unhinged and deranged rant, Schumer threatened violent mobs would terrorize Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch if they voted to protect life.
“Over the last three years, women’s reproductive rights have come under attack in a way we haven’t seen in modern history. From Louisiana, to Missouri, to Texas, Republican legislatures are waging a war on women, all women, and they’re taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you, Gorsuch, I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you, if you go forward with these awful decisions,” Schumer raged.
Schumer tried to excuse his call for terrorist gangs to menace Supreme Court Justices by claiming where he comes from in Brooklyn, they speak in strong language, but Republicans were merely pretending to be outraged.
“I’m from Brooklyn. We speak in strong language. I shouldn’t have used the words I did, but in no way was I making a threat. I never—never—would do such a thing. And Leader McConnell knows that. And Republicans who are busy manufacturing outrage over these comments know that too,” Schumer outrageously claimed.
Schumer’s fake apology came after Missouri Republican Senator Josh Hawley declared his intention to introduce a resolution censuring Schumer for calling for violence against Supreme Court Justices.
“Now @chuckschumeris threatening Supreme Court Justices personally, to the point of implying their physical safety is endangered. Disgusting, shameful, and frankly, WEAK.” Hawley added, “I would call on Schumer to apologize, but we all know he has no shame. So tomorrow I will introduce a motion to censure Schumer for his pathetic attempt at intimidation of #SupremeCourt.”
But Schumer’s day was about to get worse.
House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told reporters at the House GOP’s weekly press conference that he heard whispers about Democrats wanting to make a leadership switch over Schumer’s comments.
McCarthy said he wasn’t sure if Democrats would actually pull the trigger on a leadership shake-up “but I’ve heard some talk about it.”
