SEN. BOOKER: 'NO RUSH' IN TALK OF IMPEACHMENT

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., said talk of impeachment was premature regarding the outcome of investigations into Russian involvement in the U.S. 2016 presidential elections and any connections with officials of President Donald Trump, Politico reported Sunday.
"I'm not going to rush to impeachment," Booker said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union." "I think we need to deal with this in a very sobered way."
A string of controversies has surrounded the president and his administration, though no proof of allegations has been brought forward. Booker said the issue now needed an "objective assessment of facts" rather than a "relitigation" of the 2016 presidential election.
Though Booker explained he was "satisfied" at the investigations now under way, he called for accountability if individuals attempted to obstruct American democracy.
