Pollster Schoen: So Far Hillary is Losing to Herself

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has a 75 percent to 80 percent chance of securing the Democratic nomination for president after making her official announcement on Sunday, says Democrat pollster Doug Schoen.
Clinton's pre-candidacy hasn't gone as well as she wanted, with questions about her use of personal emails while at the State Department still trailing her, Schoen said in an appearance on "The Cats Roundtable" on AM 970 in New York.
"The most recent polling shows the race a dead heat," Schoen told host John Catsimatidis. "So far it’s been Hillary against Hillary. And so far Hillary’s not been winning that contest."
Schoen called the race on the Republican side "Bush vs. the anti-Bush."
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will have huge amounts of money and institutional support on one side, while a more conservative challenger will emerge. That could be Sen. Rand Paul, Sen. Ted Cruz, Gov. Scott Walker, or someone else, he said.
Schoen expects the field of 20 or so Republicans to be winnowed down by fall.
"We could be even down to two or three come September," he said.
