REPEAL THE NDAA ~ NEW BILL IN CONGRESS

Thank you for your support of Senator Feinstein's bill. Unfortunately, it now seems that this bill was inappropriately named, and does NOT repeal indefinite detention of American citizens by the Military, as prescribed by the NDAA. A new bill has just been introduced by Senator Mark Udall (D-CO) and Congressman Adam Smith (D - WA) which specifically repeals sections 1021 and 1022 of the NDAA, the sections dealing with military custody of citizens and with Due Process in an Article III civilian court.

The new bill directly repeals the unconstitutional clauses, while Senator Feinstein's Due Process Guarantee Act does NOT guarantee due process. It applies only to a future declaration of war or future authorization to use force.

The Due Process and Military Detentions Amendment Act Of 2012repeals the unlawful NDAA sectionsand does guarantee due process.

The bill numbers are Senate 2175 and HR 4192.

The new petition to urge passage of this act is here:
