I am just so very proud to have Nancy visit my little home town!!
About 1 pm today - Sunday - Bob and I drove down the hill and came to the South Entrance of Safeway's parking lot. Were stopped abruptly by a frantic Geek waving his arms for us to stop. Our full car-length still on the main street. Two big black SUV's stopped traffic for about 5 min and we sat there. Engines running in both SUV's. All at once a skinny, elderly looking lady, dressed in a long white dress with jacket -- comes out of the store with 2 body guards following - she carrying one item in a plastic bag. Traffic Control Geek opens her door and closes it - as body guards jump in back seat.Traffic Geek runs to second SUV behind #1, it's engine also running with driver. And they drive by our car on wrong side of traffic flow and disappear. The honoured shopper - Nancy Pelosi - speaker of Z House.
