Even with thousands of faxes and phone calls reaching the White House every day--all demanding the commutation of former U.S. Border Agents Nacho Ramos and Jose Compean, it's still not

pro-active enough.

Today I received word that Wednesday is the "official" day of support for Ramos and Compean. That said, I've alerted my staff to print up more than 400,000 petitions for an EMERGENCY PETITION DELIVERY to the Office of the Pardon Attorney in Washington, D.C.

The pardon attorney is responsible for preparing recommendations for the President, and I want to make sure that the names Ramos and Compean are at the top of any future list!

         We have 12-16 hours to really ramp up the impact

         on this petition delivery, and I'm calling on ALL

         members of our Grassfire team to use the next 12-16

         hours to help me rally an additional 25,000-30,000

         citizen signers--to bring the total citizens pleading

         for the release of Ramos and Compean to 450,000!

I can't answer for you, Patrick, but I cannot imagine living in a windowless cell, away from any human contact, and unable to call my loved ones but for 15 minutes each month.

I can't imagine the heart-wrenching pain of not being able to cuddle and play with my young children, or enjoy a romantic dinner with my wife.

That's the horror Ramos and Compean are living every day for the next twelve years--unless you and I can make a strong enough case to the Pardon Attorney and to our President to right this horrifying wrong.

Because it is the official day of support for Ramos and Compean, I want our petitions to reach the Pardon Attorney first thing on Wednesday. That means we have a very short window of opportunity

to rally additional support.
