Israel mobilized one third of their Navy before attacking the unarmed ships who were flying American and Turkish flags, and registered in the United States, which means they are U.S. territory. The ships were also in the safety of international waters. Israel had no legal right to board or seize the ships, let alone murder or kidnap their occupants, yet that's exactly what they've done.

Israel claims they murdered the aid workers in self defense. They were forced to enter international waters and board the aid ship because they were promoting negative propaganda about Israel. They were forced to kill the workers because they tried to defend themselves against piracy. The evangelicals might buy those illegal actions, but Israels going to have to do better than that with the international community. Especially since an Al Jazeera producer, who was filming during the raid, appears to provide evidence that the IDF opened fire on the flotilla even before boarding it.

Attacking, kidnapping and killing aid workers, aboard a US vessel in international waters, and then confiscating the ships is an illegal act of war. Not only has Israel attacked a US ship, but they've attacked NATO as well.Turkey is a member of NATO, and NATO considers an attack on any member nation an attack on NATO as a whole.

Turkey recalled its ambassador to Israel and warned of unprecedented and incalculable reprisals. They warn that further supply vessels will be sent to Gaza, this time escorted by the Turkish Navy. Another attack by Israel at that point could have devastating consequences world wide. In 1967 Israel bombed the USS Liberty, United States Navy technical research ship. They killed 34 crew members (naval officers, seamen, two Marines, and a civilian), wounded 171 crew members, and severely damaged the ship to the tune of US$ 1993000.

You'd think the US would be tired of paying for the consequences of Israels actions, but because much of our government is made up of American/Israeli dual passport holders that's not the case at all.
