must resign immediately.

In his acceptance speech for the Nobel Peace Prize, the Dalai Lama said, "Because we all share this small planet Earth, we have to learn to live in harmony and peace with each other and with nature. That is not just a dream, but a necessity." These words and their implications must become embedded in the consciousness of America's leaders and they must become the cornerstone of our foreign policy.

These words of caution are idealistic, but rational and pragmatic. They represent the spiritual consciousness of millions of Americans who have harmonized with universal truth and who thus embody peace, not war; love, not hate; non-violence, not violence; wisdom, not ignorance. The Dalai Lama speaks for these people.

President Bush does not speak for these people. He does not represent a consciousness of peace, love, non-violence, and wisdom. His words say that he is committed only to violence and destruction. His actions violate the spiritual laws which inspire our every sacred impulse. In his mad call for war at all costs, President Bush has become the "murderous tyrant" he accuses others of being. President Bush stands as the single greatest threat to global peace, prosperity, and justice.

On behalf of the millions of people for whom the Dalai Lama's words are true, I hereby call upon President Bush and all the senior officials of his administration to resign immediately. They do not represent the people of the United States and they do not represent the spiritual laws of the universe. They have not achieved the requisite level of consciousness to lead our country, and the world, into peace.
