PNAC (Project For A New American Century)

PNAC was formed in 1992 by a very conservative group of Republicans. They have been agitating for a war with Iraq since 1997. Its members include Vice President Dick Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Runsfeld, Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz and William Kristol, noted conservative writer for the Weekly Standard, a magazine owned by Rupert Murdock, who also owns Fox News Network.
You can check this out at www.newamericancentury.org. It calls for a "Pax Americana" to smash the world into marching to our drumbeat, starting in the Middle East. Why would they want to do that? Because they believe that since we have the most potent military force in the world we can dictate our version of peach on earth. Since Syria and Iran are next on the list, according to PNAC, our troops will be in the Middle East a long, long time.
