Christopher Kortlander, author of Arrow to the Heart, owns the historic town of Garryowen, Montana on the Custer Battlefield. He is the founding director of the Custer Battlefield Museum for over 25 years, a dealer in rare and historic artifacts for over 30 years, and a former law enforcement officer. He has been featured in more than 100 publications, news programs, and local and national television.

A guest on Caravan to Midnight -Episode 686- Christopher Kortlander, the Founding Director of the Custer Battlefield Museum in Garryowen, MT was asked about his knowledge of that famous battle by host John B. Wells. Kortlander spoke about the current news of a fourth and most recent suicide subsequent to bullying and harassment by Bureau of Land Management law enforcement agents.  Kortlander, himself the victim of two unwarranted Bureau of Land Management raids, says the intimidation and threats by teams of heavily-armed BLM law enforcement agents must end.  He calls for support of Congressman Chaffetz's bill HR 622 which will defund part of the Department of the Interior Law enforcement and give the authority back to local county Sheriff’s.
