Chuck Norris (Tyndale)

Says it's 'conservatives' or 'disaster' in Tuesday's election

Chuck Norris is famous for his remarkable martial arts career, his long tenure as a premiere action actor and for the famous "Chuck Norris facts," the jokes that tell, for example, how he doesn't push himself up when he does "push-ups," he actually pushes the earth down.

But he's not joking about Tuesday's election.

"I think our country, if we don't wind up getting a conservative majority mainly in the House, I really perceive some disastrous things in the next two years in our country. We may not have an America in two years," he told Fox News in a recent interview.

The video is available online.

The report notes that it was Norris who put Mike Huckabee on the map early in the 2008 presidential race with an ad in which Huckabee announced his plan to secure the southern border.

"Two words," Huckabee said. "Chuck Norris."

The actor whose "Walker, Texas Ranger" series still generates fans said he's working with the National Rifle Association to encourage people to vote, citing concerns over new federal attempts to regulate and restrict guns.

"The government can take it away from you if you don't put the right people in office," he said. "One way to protect our rights is register to vote."

He cited Barack Obama for not keeping the promises he made when he aspired to the Oval Office.

"You fooled us once, but you're not going to fool use twice," he said.

The problem, as he sees it, is that Washington is now "leaning away from the will of the people."

"We've just got to stop it," he said.

Another Huckabee ad appeared, in which the former Arkansas governor stated, "Chuck Norris doesn't endorse. He tells America how it's going to be."

Norris recently launched a C-Force column on WND, in which he talks about his workout regimens and health tips.

He explained in the announcement that it would "give readers across the nation and around the world not only the guidelines that I live by but also sound advice from experts who I know are reputable and whom I respect."

"I'm not writing this new column merely to inspire you to eat better and exercise more," he continued, "but to help set you free from the tyranny of what I call stinkin' thinkin' and the food industry's processed foods and other artery-clogging eatables. I want you to live as optimally as you can, with all the gusto your life can experience and offer, and I believe 'C-Force' will help."

Norris joined "America's Wellness Doctor," the natural health advocate Dr. Julian Whitaker, on Diversions to provide sound and tested advice that can help readers maintain a stronger, healthier lifestyle while minimizing both sickness and dependence on medical intervention like prescription drugs and intrusive procedures.

Norris is perhaps best known as an international film and television star, having appeared in more than 20 action movies and television series, including the world-popular "Walker, Texas Ranger."

But Norris is also a former airman first class in the United States Air Force, a past spokesman for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the New York Times best-selling author of three books and a six-time undefeated world middleweight karate champion.

His fitness and nutrition advocacy has also led him to found Kickstart Kids, a character-building life-skills school curriculum that has trained over 60,000 at-risk middle-school children.

Last year on the occasion of his 70th birthday, a new series of "Chuck Norris facts" arose.
