This is the day Barack Obama and his Deep State lieutenants feared the most.

They hoped the truth about their criminal conspiracy against Donald Trump would stay under wraps.

But now all hell is breaking loose across Washington because someone just turned up the smoking gun Obama and his crew thought they had buried forever.

Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee know they are up against the clock.

The new Democrat majority takes over in a matter of weeks.

And that means the end of the investigation into the crimes committed by Barack Obama, James Comey, and the rest of the Deep State during the 2016 election.

But the Republicans on the committee aren’t just shrugging their shoulders and admitting defeat.

They are continuing to press President Trump to declassify documents that would expose the seedy underbelly of the Obama administration.

And The Hill’s John Solomon exclusively reports that a bombshell email chain is at the heart of this fight.

The email exchanges included then-FBI Director James Comey, key FBI investigators in the Russia probe and lawyers in the DOJ’s national security division, and they occurred in early to mid-October, before the FBI successfully secured a FISA warrant to spy on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

The email exchanges show the FBI was aware — before it secured the now-infamous warrant — that there were intelligence community concerns about the reliability of the main evidence used to support it: the Christopher Steele dossier.

The exchanges also indicate FBI officials were aware that Steele, the former MI6 British intelligence operative then working as a confidential human source for the bureau, had contacts with news media reporters before the FISA warrant was secured.

These emails are dynamite.

They prove Comey and other top Obama officials violated FBI protocol when they used the Steele dossier as the centerpiece for a FISA warrant application against former Trump campaign aide, Carter Page.

FBI guidelines say only verified information can be used as evidence in a FISA warrant application.

Comey and his henchmen knew the Steele dossier was fake news, but their blind hatred of Donald Trump caused them to cast rules and regulations aside in order to take him down by any means necessary.

In addition, Solomon also reported that the emails indicate Comey and other top officials knew Christopher Steele had leaked to the media.

The FBI fired Steele as a confidential human source on November 1st for his contacts with the media.

In the warrant application against Carter Page, the FBI cited a September 16^th Yahoo news article as their corroborating evidence.

It is now known that Steele was the source for that article—therefore a news article sourced back to Steele was used as proof that the dossier – also put together by Steele – was deemed as trustworthy evidence.

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee are sure to press Comey about these emails when he testifies on Friday.

Obama, Comey, and the rest of the Deep State thought the Democrats taking back the House secured them from ever being held accountable for their lawless and un-American conduct during the 2016 election.

However, with the Republicans refusing to stop digging until they found the smoking gun proves those hopes were wildly misplaced.
