Terrorists Just Issued This Major Threat To Donald Trump

Donald Trump promised to move the Israeli embassy to Jerusalem.

Muslims are furious.

And one terrorist group issued a major warning.

The Holy City of Jerusalem is at the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian dispute.

Both believe it should be their capitol city.

But only Israel has a legitimate claim.

A 1995 law passed by Congress instructs the President to move the embassy to Jerusalem unless the President certifies otherwise every six months.

So far every President since the laws’ passage has done so.

The last such certification was performed by Barack Obama and it will be months before the decision is in Trump’s lap.

But the terrorist organization Hamas has already issued a warning to Trump about moving the embassy.

Politico reports:

“A spokesperson for the Gaza-based militant group Hamas said moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem would add “more oil to the fire” of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Osama Hamdan, also a senior leader in the group, said Palestinians will not abandon Jerusalem during an interview with Al Jazeera English’s current affairs show Upfront that’s set to air Friday.

“Now if there was changes or the United States administration try to make a change in the status of Jerusalem, of course that will mean an action from the Palestinian side and no one can control that,” he said. “[Trump] has to make a choice whether he wants to create peace in the region or he wants to add more oil on the fire.”

Trump would never budge on his promise just because of a threat from terrorists.

In fact, standing up to terrorists and standing with America’s ally Israel was a core message of his campaign.

The American people judged Trump would be properly tough with America’s enemies.

That’s one reason why they ignored the constant barrage of media generated scandals and outrage and elected him President.

Early in his administration, his spokesman Sean Spicer announced Trump was at the beginnings of the discussion about moving the embassy to Israel.

The New York Times reports:

“On Sunday, Mr. Trump spoke by phone with Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. While Mr. Trump called the talk “very nice,” he did not address the embassy move — a promise repeatedly made but left unmet by American presidential candidates since the 1970s.

The White House seemed to seek to stifle speculation of any immediate announcement.

“We are at the very beginning stages of even discussing this subject,” Sean Spicer, Mr. Trump’s spokesman, said in a statement.

Mr. Netanyahu called the talk a “very warm conversation” in a statement, but he did not mention the embassy. He said the men discussed peace with the Palestinians and Mr. Netanyahu’s planned visit to Washington in February.”

Will Trump follow through on his pledge to move the embassy to Jerusalem?

So far he has kept his campaign promises about cracking down on sanctuary cities, building a wall on the Southern border, and withdrawing from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
