Calls for Germany’s youth to do mandatory national service to cope with migrants

CDU politician Eckhardt Rehberg has said all school leavers in Germany should be drafted into some form of mandatory national service to cope with a record migrant influx.

He said school leavers should be compelled to either join the army or do unpaid community service for one year.

Rehberg is exploiting an engineered migrant crisis to draft young men and women into a mandatory form of national service.

The proposal for a compulsory public service has eery echoes of the Nazi regime when boys and girls were drafted into either the army or community service to a modern form of indentured slavery.

I am not sure what the legal basis of any new draft or conscription would be, but it cannot be ruled out it is the Lisbon Treaty, which the UK and most countries in Europe have signed.
