“New Russia” – Is This What East Ukraine Will Soon Look Like?

As “The Russian Spring” spreads across various sub-regions of current non-Russian sovereign nations, Russian historian Sergey Lebedev warns that Transdniestria is “the first liberated part of Novorossiya,” Putin’s term for what he sees as a new state spreading across Ukraine into Moldova and perhaps beyond… here is what that region will look like… welcome to Novorossiya, or as one would translate it… New Russia.

    As InterpreterMag believes,

Lebedev’s article highlights two directions of Putin’s policies, both of which should be of concern not only in the region but in Europe and the West more generally.

On the one hand, to the extent that Transdniestria is a model for some putative Novorossiya, it presents a very ugly picture.

Transdniestria under its breakaway government has been one of the most repressive places in the former Soviet space and has a thoroughly criminalized government that has been prepared to sell off the enormous arms cache there left over from USSR times to all and sundry, including terrorist groups.

And on the other, it underscores that Putin’s plans are far broader than Ukraine and involve a thrust into the Balkans. Were Transdniestria to be taken from Moldova and annexed to Russia, that would almost certainly lead to the collapse of the Moldovan state, the unification of part of it with Romania, the federalization of that country, and the extension of a Moscow-sponsored arc of instability into the Balkans.

Sanctions are not enough to “change Putin’s calculus,” as even American officials are beginning to acknowledge. And given the dangers that allowing him to move even further west into Moldova and beyond would inevitably entail, the time to contain and then reverse what he is doing is now.

Meanwhile Victoria Nuland, giving testimony in the house… was not backing down…

What is your view about Russian Government putting controls on the internet in Russia for the citizens? In all the good he is doing do you feel this move to restrict certain things about the internet this can hinder his reputation and plans with people around the world and in Russia? I feel despite the goal of stopping outside forces from flooding the russian citizens with disinfo, this move is still considered as wrong according to the ideal of freedom of press and choice to choose what you want to believe?

You have been socially-engineered into a system which is used to hinder and destroy but veiled behind something supposedly good. I fully agree with Putin clamping down on the Internet, Russia is at war with the Venetian Empire. I do not agree with things like banning swearing and having ebots looking for swear words but I do agree with censoring or banning social media and other avenues the nefarious British Empire use. Everything the British Empire uses to destroy nations will need to be censored or removed entirely such as social media and NGOs and this is exactly what Putin is doing. Putin is very smart and he is doing many good things and like I keep saying, he is the only man who can challenge this Venetian system and we need him to. The press can cause a lot of problems for operations like they did in previous wars recently. Too much information can be a problem and Putin is cutting it back now. Of course the Venetian controlled mainstream media will harp on to the gullible that Putin is a dictator and a suppression supporter but they will not tell you what he has done for Russia and how liked he really is. I hope some day Putin will destroy The City of London, Brussels, Washington D.C, Vatican, Dallas, Denver and Virginia. We have all had enough now of this nefarious pirare merchant system run from the Square Mile from hell in Britain. Enough is enough we need freedoms. Once the nefarious ones are destroyed never to come back then the freedoms can come back in Russia but until then lock it down Putin and put the screws on their plans. The Department of Defense internet is a piece of garbage being used to destroy our nations and livelihoods.
