Trump Campaign Goes on Offense Post-Mueller Report

“No matter your ideologies or your loyalties, this is a good day for America. No American conspired to cooperate with Russia in its efforts to interfere with the 2016 election, according to Robert Mueller, and that is good.” @BretBaier @FoxNews

President Donald Trump's re-election campaign wasted no time capitalizing on Special Counsel Robert Mueller conclusion that apparently cleared the president – finding neither Trump nor anyone associated with his 2016 campaign conspired or coordinated with the Kremlin.

A text message campaign to millions of supporters promised a "quadruple match" of donations to Trump's 2020 campaign. The messages hinted at a call for financial revenge against Democratic lawmakers who used charges of collusion for short-term political gain.

The Daily Mail's David Martosko reports:

'NO COLLUSION & COMPLETE EXONERATION!' read one text message, complete with a link to a fundraising Web page. 'Dems raised millions off a lie. Now we FIGHT BACK! Donate in the NEXT HOUR & it'll be QUADRUPLED.'

And a YouTube video that quickly racked up thousands of views made a case that Democrats 'hyped collusion with no evidence.'

...

Nothing in the video asks for a donation, but the campaign is building what insiders call the largest-ever private database of voters' cell phone numbers, to be used later for fundraising and pre-election messaging.

In a letter to leaders of the House and Senate Judiciary Committees, Attorney General William Barr wrote that the special counsel's investigation found no evidence the campaign colluded with Russia – a claim the president's opponents began publicly making before he took office.

In a four-page summary of Mueller's findings to congressional leaders, Attorney General William Barr wrote that insufficient evidence existed to pursue charges against the president.
