Last Sunday, the Senate deadlocked 50-50 along party lines over a 700-billion-dollar spending package with billions of dollars that will add 87,000 IRS agents that will target you, churches and religious organizations. In a complete reversal, Sen. Joe Manchin—the one man responsible for stopping the bill formerly called Build Back Better (BBB)—changed his mind. Kamala Harris rushed in to break the tie. But now the bill must return to the U.S. House and then back to the Senate. The battle is far from over.
Senate Democrats were so desperate to pass what is now called “The Inflation Reduction Act” that they implemented a “Don’t test, don’t tell” policy so that COVID-positive legislators could vote on the floor.
This bill still has to go through both the U.S. House and Senate again before it is finalized. We’ve stopped many other terrible bills that were labeled “done deals.” We still have a short time to block this one too.
This bill will further weaponize the IRS, bankrupt our nation, skyrocket inflation, give more government control over your healthcare, discourage medical innovation, push anti-American radicalism and crush your freedom.

We killed the “Build Back Better” (BBB) bill, so now the Senate is pushing the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act” that will be the biggest tax hike in history, dumping an extra 700 billion dollars into pet projects, climate, pork and dangerous radical efforts to target you and restrict your freedom.
In true D.C. style, this bill will do the opposite of its name and rachet up inflation by pouring hundreds of billions, which it took from your own pockets, into government spending and waste.
But of much more concern is how this bill will weaponize the IRS.
It will about double the total number of IRS agents to 180,500 and give them a slush fund of almost 80 billion dollars with basically zero congressional oversight until 2031. We just saw the corruption in the FBI with the raid on Trump’s home, supposedly for classified files he took from the White House, when a President has unilateral authority to declassify any information he chooses.
We know the IRS has a corrupt and politically biased history. This will give the agency the resources to target and persecute people of faith and conservative viewpoints. During the rise of the TEA Party, the IRS investigated and delayed the applications of conservative organizations, which prevented them from getting IRS approval, and aided Obama’s reelection in 2012.
However, the IRS has not learned its lesson, and now Joe Biden wants to essentially hand it a blank check.

Last year, a group in Texas called Christians Engaged applied for tax-exempt status. The group explained that its “purpose is to encourage Christians to pray for state and national leaders in a non-partisan way, to get out and vote in every election as good citizens should, and to study the Bible to understand its values and how they relate to public policy.”
However, the group’s tax-exempt 501(c)(3) status request was denied by the IRS in a letter, which stated:
“You do not qualify as an organization described in IRS Section 501(c)(3). You engage in prohibited political campaign intervention … You are also not operated exclusively for one or more exempt purposes within the meaning of Section 50l (c)(3), because you operate for a substantial non-exempt private purpose and for the private interests of the [Republican] party …
It goes on to state, “you educate believers on national issues that are central to their belief in the Bible as the inerrant Word of God. Specifically, you educate Christians on what the Bible says in areas where they can be instrumental including the areas of sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, freedom of speech, defense, and borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations. The Bible teachings are typically affiliated with the [Republican] party and candidates. This disqualifies you from exemption under lRC Section 50I(c)(3).” (emphasis added)
Although the IRS later caved after an appeal was filed, it is chilling that under this definition—directly from the IRS—every group that advocates for biblical values would be considered partisan.
