Mnuchin announced that every American will get $1,200 and up to $3,000 for a family of four. How much each individual gets depends on how much they make and how they have filed their taxes, if a husband and wife filed together they will receive the stimulus money together.

Secretary Mnuchin plans to have this payment delivered across the country by tax day. His plan may be offset if Congress holds it up by any significant amount of time or if there is a problem at the IRS. Ironic that this year's tax day we will likely see them give us money.

Like with how much you will get the way you will get money is based on how you did your taxes. If you have electronic filing set up then the money will appear in the bank account where your tax returns normally go. If you get a check then that is how the stimulus money will come in as well.

Not everyone will be getting this stimulus money and not everyone will be getting the full amount. According to USA Today, those making more than $99,000 a year will not receive any stimulus money and those making more than $75,000 will receive a reduced amount.
