Hail up to 1-inch in diameter was reported in eastern Wyoming near Rochelle, Sundance and Gillette.
A trained spotter also recorded a 60 mph gust of wind 13 miles northeast of Newell.
Earlier Saturday, the area around Newell and Bear Butte received heavy rains that washed over roads and driveways, and flooded ditches, pastures and livestock yards. Hail from the storm damaged crops and gardens.
Some residents said they hadn't seen a downpour like it in years.
