Subject: Arctic Thawing

Dear Anne & Patrick,

Thought these photos would be of interest to everyone. I took these on October 6, 2007 near 85º North Latitude, (about 300nm from the earths geographic north pole.) The photos show the arctic ice breaking up but also the tremendous amount of atmospheric pollution of the arctic north polar region is evident. Please feel free to post.
