The National Weather Service reported water over roads Saturday in Towner County near Bisbee.

A tornado warning was issued in southern Towner County until 9:15 p.m. Saturday night, with a tornado watch until midnight. The tornado warning was allowed to expire at the said time and was downgraded to a severe thunderstorm warning, with the possibility of hail.

Lake Region Emergency Dispatch reported no sightings of the tornado Saturday night, but spotters did see a funnel in the area, according to Nancy Godon, weather service senior meteorologist in Grand Forks. The storm was said to have strong rotation and the capability of producing a tornado.

Flash flood warnings were issued for many of the counties in northeast North Dakota, and Towner County is under a flash flood warning until 7:45 a.m. today.

A tornado watch covered a large portion of the state, extending from the Canadian border to the South Dakota state line until midnight Saturday.

Some severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for northeastern Burleigh, Sheridan, Pierce and Rolette (N.D.) counties.
