Alaska Snow Does Not Burn Black

(THIS IS AN OLDER VIDOE BUT VERY INTERESTING)

(Yes, I filmed this with a camera phone.) I had been watching a lot of videos of people in the lower 48 states burning their snow. The snow would turn black and give off a chemical smell (or so they said) and I wanted to see if the snow here would do the same. As you'll see in the video, it doesn't. AK snow doesn't burn black (at least where I'm located) and it gave off no odor whatsoever. There's no doubt that the snow on the ground where I live is different from the snow on the ground where those people whose snow turned black live. It's up to you, the viewers, to decide why that is.
