In order to put Fukushima into perspective, fill both hands cupped together with copper pennies. If the pennies were Polonium-210, every 138 days, starting on 3/11/11, you can pour half of the pennies out of your hands (half of the Polonium has degraded into Pb-206 (Lead-206). You still have half of the pennies (Polonium-210) that have not degraded and Polonium-210 and Lead-206 in the Pacific Ocean are toxic to plants, sea animals and humankind. Polonium-210 and Lead-206 are merely two of many dozens, or perhaps hundreds of fission-melt-down by-products of Fukushima Daitsu.
