STATE OF THE PLANET EARTH - Movie
Shot entirely from the air and filmed magnificently, the 1 1/2 hour, 10-million-euro movie, HOME, is available free to all, thanks to its generous sponsors.
It took almost three years to complete the mega movie, shot over 217 days in 54 countries, providing 488 hours of footage.
HOME is a documentary by Frances Yann Arthus-Bertrand, the French photographer known for the ‘Earth From The Air’ books and ‘Seen From The Air’ on TV.
The commentary is narrated by Glenn Close in English and Salma Hayek in Spanish, and it's message is, that “It’s too late to be a pessimist”, we have to act positively, now.
Showing the splendour of nature, the squalor of over population, the depletion of resources, and the glimmer of potential solutions, it challenges us to become more aware of the problems, and then choose to be a part of the solution.
