Mr. Seeger sang until his voice wore out, and then he kept on singing, decade upon decade.

REBUTTAL BY

Over the years, The Times has eulogized more Communists on its front page than one could shake a hammer and sickle at. The latest Red to be granted this dubious honor is "folk singer" Pete Seeger. Seeger was once an actual member of the US Communist Party, back when the Party took its orders from Stalin's Moscow.

During the 1930's, he fervently supported the genocidal Communist side during the Spanish Civil War. When World War II broke out in 1939, he opposed U.S. intervention. But the moment that Germany and Seeger's beloved Soviet Union began fighting, Seeger switched his tune and supported U.S. interventionism!

In 1957, he was indicted for contempt of Congress. The smart-ass Marxist had openly mocked Congress while refusing to answers questions pertaining his Communist affiliations as well as the Communist subversion of America's music and entertainment industry. Later sentenced to 10 years, the protected traitor's conviction was soon overturned on appeal.

In 1960, the San Diego school board told him that he could not play a scheduled concert at a high school unless he signed an oath pledging that the concert would not be used to promote a Communist agenda or an overthrow of the government. Seeger refused! The American Civil Liberties Union obtained an injunction against the school district, allowing the concert to go on as scheduled.

Throughout his life, and well into his old age, Seeger supported left wing "causes" such as the deliberate losing of the Vietnam War, Environmentalism, "Civil Rights", and Occupy Wall Street. The old Red bastard even played at Obongo's 2009 inauguration. Not surprisingly, the old "anti war" activist never once complained about fellow Lefty Obongo's warmongering and Predator Drone strikes! Naturally, Obongo memorialized Seeger for "standing up for what's right."

We at The Anti-New York Times would like to wish Mr. Seeger a safe trip to hell.
