U.S., Chinese companies to meet with Hu and Obama

Obama will use the meeting to highlight the importance of increasing exports to China and of increasing investment in the United States to help support millions of American jobs, the White House aide said.

Among others, the U.S. business leaders expected to attend include:

-- Microsoft Corp chief executive Steve Ballmer

-- Goldman Sachs chief executive Lloyd Blankfein

-- Motorola co-chief executive Greg Brown

-- General Electric chief executive Jeff Immelt

-- Coca-Cola chief executive Muhtar Kent

-- Boeing chief executive Jim McNerney

-- Carlyle Group managing director David Rubenstein

Chinese business leaders at the meeting from firms that have made investments in the United States will include:

-- Lenovo founder Liu Chuanzhi

-- Lou Jiwei, chairman of China Investment Corp

-- Wanxiang Group founder Lu Guanqiu

-- Haier chief executive Zhang Ruimin

A U.S. industry official, speaking on condition he not be identified, said he thought the White House would announce China business deals involving several of the companies.
