Shame on WalMart

We indicated that we would not be interested thank you. The clerk then revealed the following:
The check out staff are "mandated" by WalMart management to solicit the WalMart Credit Card to every customer. Each clerk must sign up 5 new accounts each month or they face dismissal from WalMart. This clerk hadn't signed up any so far and she indicated to us she really didn't care if she was sacked. She will eventually find another job.
We expressed our disbelief and shock as to the callous, reckless approach by management to such a "destructive" device. In our opinion, folks shop at WalMart because they have a tight budget and look for inexpensive ways to feed their families. These folks are the "least" able to afford a credit card, let alone those purveyed by WalMart that charges 22-25% on unpaid balances.
Shame on WalMart for even attempting to place these folks into a deeper financial recess, at the same time placing great duress upon their staff for being "pitch men" of this perverse, money hoarding scheme.
I might add this as well.
Should say, 10,000 customers decide to sign up for this instrument of slavery, should all of them default in making those payments, not only are they further tightening the noose about their own necks, WalMart will then be left having to cover those defaults and eventually themselves, exacerbate the worlds financial stress, and in the end, being a mirror image of the troubled banking system.
This is one of the most blatant uses of slavery, abuse and usury in today's world.
May everyone take to heart what has been stated and please try to avoid these nets of perversity.
