Signs of the End of the Age

Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

"So when you see standing in the holy place 'the abomination that causes desolation,' spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let no one on the roof of his house go down to take anything out of the house. Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak. How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.

"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

"Immediately after the distress of those days

'the sun will be darkened,

and the moon will not give its light;

the stars will fall from the sky,

and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'

"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

"Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

The Day and Hour Unknown

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

"Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

"Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time? It will be good for that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. I tell you the truth, he will put him in charge of all his possessions. But suppose that servant is wicked and says to himself, 'My master is staying away a long time,' and he then begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. The master of that servant will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour of which he is not aware. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (New International Version)

The Talmud of Jmmanuel, Chapter 25

The Prophecy

And Jmmanuel walked out of the temple, and his disciples came up to him because they wanted to show him the temple’s structure. He, however, spoke to them, “Look at all this. Truly, I say to you, not one stone here will remain upon the other without being broken. The Israelite people trespass against life and the truth, and they built this city on human blood. These people are divided into Israelites, who call themselves son and daughters of Zion, with whom I do not identify, and who want to kill me, and Jews, who are misled believers of their religious cult, and to whom I bring the teachings of truth, as I do to all Earth humans. The Israelites have ravaged this land through plunder and murder, they have killed their friends with whom they had drunk wine, and they have deceived and misled their fellow believers of the Jewish cult, who are truly not Israelites but merely believers in a cult. Thus the Israelites betrayed their own friends and murdered them because of their greed, but it shall likewise be done to them by the rightful owners of this land whom they have deprived of their rights and subjugated since ancient times.”

And when he sat on the Mount of Olives his disciples came up to him and said, “Tell us, when will this take place, and what will be the sign?” And Jmmanuel answered saying, “Two thousand and more years will pass, but meanwhile Israel will never find peace because wars and many calamities will threaten the unlawful occupants of this land; but see to it that nobody leads you astray. That is, many deceivers and false prophets will come in my name and say, ‘I am Jmmanuel, and I am the sign of the time,’ and they will mislead many”

“People will hear about wars and threats of war, and they are to witness this but not be frightened because it must transpire; but it will not yet be the end. For many a nation will rise up against its government, one nation against another and one kingdom against another, and there will be times of privation, earthquakes and immense storms and floods all about. All of these events are just the beginning of the woes.”

“Soon the knowledgeable people will be consigned to misery and will be killed. They will be hated on account of the truth of the teachings and the wisdom. Various religious cults will rise up against one another, and much blood will flow. Then many will succumb to the temptation, and they will betray and hate one another because they remained small in consciousness.”

“Love will grow cold in many people because ignorance will gain the upper hand. Hatred will rule over the world and evil will reign, but those who persist in the truth will survive. This lesson will be preached in the new age throughout the world as a testimony for all peoples, and then the end will come.”

“When the people see the horror of destruction in Jerusalem, of which the prophets have spoken, the end will come.”

“Whoever is in the land seized by the Israelites should flee to the mountains at that time. Those on the roofs should not climb down to get things from inside their houses. Those who are in the fields should not go back to get their coats.”

“Woe to the pregnant women and nursing mothers at that time, for they will suffer much grief and death, and there will be many of them.”

“Soon thereafter there will be a greater grief than there has even been before since the beginning of the world, and than will ever be again. If these days were not cut short, no one would survive; but the days will be cut short for the sake of the spirit and of life. This will also be for the sake of the people who serve the truth and the laws.”

“But there will be howling and chattering of teeth when this time is brought about by the people’s lack of understanding and by their greed. They will construct machines of metal for use in the air, on the water and on land, and will bring about mutual destruction.”

“From these machines of metal they will fling heavy projectiles across the land and upon the cities. Fire will burst from these projectiles and burn the world; and little will be spared. They will place the basic elements of life and deadly air into the projectiles to kindle the deadly fires and destroy land and life. If at that time mighty nations were not to intervene, as once did the celestial sons, to bring a halt to the unrestrained madness and deadly conduct of demented dictators, truly, I tell you, no human being would survive.”

“Since the human populations will consist of far more than then times five hundred million people at that time, great segments of them will be eradicated and killed. This is what the law ordains, because people have violated it and will continue to violate it into the distant future. If at that time someone will tell the people, ‘Behold, here is Jmmanuel who is the sign of the time,’ they should not accept it as the truth, for many a false Jmmanuel and many deceivers and false prophets will come forth and perform great signs and miracles, so that it will become possible to lead astray not only the seekers, believers and errant ones, but also the scholars and knowledgeable people. Behold I have told you this beforehand, and so it will fulfill itself.”

“Thus, when the deceivers and those led astray will say, ‘He is in the desert,’ people should not venture there, and when they say, ‘Behold, he is in a chamber,’ they should not accept it as the truth.”

“Since I will certainly return at that time, I will let them recognize me. This is as the law and destiny ordain it, and so it shall be. For as lightning flashes and illuminates from start to finish, so will be my coming in the future, when I will bring the teachings anew and announce the legions of the celestial sons. At that time I will have a renewed life and will again be accused of deception and blasphemy across the entire world, until the teachings of truth will bring about insight and change in the people.”

“People of all times, beware: where the carcass is, there the vultures gather, so watch out for them.”

“Soon after the misery of that faraway time, sun and moon will lose their luster, comets will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will begin to sway. The makeup of the Earth’s sky and air will be disturbed, and the land will burn because of the black oil of the Earth, ignited by people’s craving for power. The sky will darken because of smoke and fire, which will rage for a thousand days, and everything above the burning land and far beyond will be covered with black soot. Consequently the weather will break down, and severe cold and much death will come over the people, plants and animals, and over the Earth, as a result of the senselessly unleashed forces of the people who live in lust for power, evil passions and vices.”

“And then signs will appear in the sky, and all Earth humans will wail and come to see the signs in the clouds of the sky that bear witness to great power and severe judgment against irrationality. So God is lord over the three human lineages, yet the laws and directives of Creation are eternally valid. Through these laws and directives, which represent Creation, humankind in its irrationality will bring cruel judgment upon itself.”

“Humans owe their existence to God, who is the ruler over them; so they must follow his commandments and respect him as the greatest king of wisdom. In days to come, He will send forth His guardian angels who will sound their trumpets and call together His trusted followers from the four directions, from one end of the Earth to the other.”

“Do learn a parable from the fig tree; when its branch puts forth leaves, you know that summer is nigh. So will it also be for the people of that time; when they see all this transpire they may know that these events are upon them.”

“Truly, truly, I say to you, this is how it will be. And that generation will not pass away until all of this has happened. At some future time the heavens and the Earth will pass away, and so will the universe; but my words will not pass away because they are the words of truth within the laws of Creation.”

“No one knows the day or hour when this will all take place, not the guardian angels nor God Himself nor I, Jmmanuel; but only providence and destiny know this through the laws and directives of Creation, which possesses the greatest wisdom. Creation alone stands far above all humankind, and it alone deserves honor and praise, just as it renders honor and praise to the absolute power (Absolutum) above it. “ (See 34:23)

“If people respect and honor God, and if above him they recognize, honor esteem and acknowledge only Creation as the supreme power, then they act rightly in accordance with the truth.”

PROPHECIES OF THE END DAYS

As Jmmanuel walked from the temple, the disciples wanted to show him the building in which the temple was built. But he spoke to them, “Do you not see all this? Verily I say to you, not one stone here will remain upon the other without being broken. For the Jews trespass against life and the truth, and they built this city on the blood of people. They plundered this land through rapaciousness and murder, and killed their friends with whom they drank wine. Thus they betrayed their own friends and murdered them, because of their greediness. Likewise it shall be done unto them.”

Later as he sat on the Mount of Olives, his disciples came to him and requested, “Tell us, when will this happen and what will be the sign?” But Jmmanuel answered and said, “See to it that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name and say, I am Jmmanuel. And they will lead great numbers of ones astray.“People will hear about wars and war cries; they shall see and not be startled. This is what must happen, but that is not yet the end. Because people will rise against one another and one kingdom against another, and there will be times of great need and earthquakes and great floods all about the lands. This is the beginning of great calamities, and great cataclysms.

“Soon the people with the knowledge will be surrendered to grief and many will be killed. They will be hated for the sake of truth in their teaching and for their wisdom. Many kinds of cults will rise up against one another, and much blood will flow and many hearts and spirits will be broken. Many will succumb as a result of these conflicts and will betray one another, and will hate one another because they remained small in spirit.

“Because there will be lack of faith, love will become cold and deadened in many, many people. Hatred will rule over all the world and evil will reign for a long period of time. But he who persists in the truth will survive.

“This lesson will be preached throughout the entire world as testimony for all peoples, and then the end will come—when the word of truth has gone forth throughout the total of the lands.

“When the people will see the horror of destruction in Jerusalem and the lands there about, of which the prophets have already spoken, then the end will come.

“When this happens, whoever is at that time in the land of Judea, should flee to the mountains. He who is on the roof, should not come down from it to get anything from out of his house. He who is in the field should not come back in order to get his coat or any other of his possessions.

“Oh woe to the women in this place, who are pregnant and those who are suckling their babes at that time, for they shall suffer much grief and death. There will be multitudes.

“There will follow great grief as has never been before since the beginning of the world until now, and also never will be again. And, if these days were not shortened, no man would remain alive; but the days will be shortened for the sake of the spirit and wisdom, and for the sake of people who serve the truth and the Laws.

“There shall be untold gnashing and chattering of teeth and great mourning and screaming when this time comes, because of man’s lack of understanding and because of his greed.

“There shall be machines made from metal for use in the air, on the waters and on land, to kill one another in great masses. They shall throw heavy projectiles out of these machines made of metal and they shall strike the cities throughout the lands. Fire will come out of these projectiles and burn the world so that hardly anything will survive and that which does survive will not long be spared.

“They will put the corner stones of life itself into the projectiles in order to kindle the deadly fires. And, if at that time the Celestial Sons would not appear in order to bring it to a standstill, verily I tell you, not one person would survive upon the face of Earth.

“Since the human race will, at that time, number at least ten times five hundred million people, two parts thereof will be destroyed and killed. When at that point someone will say to the people, ‘Behold, here is Jmmanuel’. They shall not believe it, because many false Jmmanuels and false prophets will rise up and do great signs and wonders, so that if it were possible, also even the wise and knowing would be misled. Behold, I told you so before.

“Therefore, when they shall say: `He is in the desert’, man shall not go out, and `Behold, he is in a chamber’, they shall not believe.

“Since I will most certainly return at that point in time, I will let them recognize me; this is how the Law is written and thus shall it be. For, as lightning starts with the rise and radiates until its setting, thus will be my coming among the heavenly hosts with whom I shall have my renewed life at that time.

“Men of all times, beware, wherever the carcass is there, the vultures will gather, so beware of them.

“Soon after the grief of that time, sun and moon will no longer radiate, and the stars will fall from heaven and the powers of the heavens will become shaky. The structure of the heavens will be disturbed because of the senselessly erupted power of men who will be living in greed, power, and addiction.

“There will then appear a sign in the sky. And then all the generations on earth will cry and will see the Celestial Sons coming in the clouds of the sky, and they are of great power and will judge harshly against senselessness. Since God is the ruler over the three human races, He, therefore, will judge them through His representatives.

“Man owes God His creation and God is the ruler over him, so that he has to follow His commandments and respect Him as the greatest king of wisdom. He will send forth His guardian angels with loud trumpets and will gather His followers from the four winds, from one end of the earth unto the other end.

“Blessed ones, learn a parable from the fig tree; when its branch begins to have leaves and they are coming out, you know that summer is near. Likewise, the people at that time, when they see all of this they will know that it is close at hand.

“Verily, verily I say to you, this is how it will be. And this human race will not pass until all of this has come about. Heaven and Earth will pass, and the universe also; but my words will not pass, for they are words of truth within the Laws of The Creation.

“No one knows of the day nor hour that all this will happen, nor do the guardian angels of God, nor I, Jmmanuel, but God alone who has the greatest wisdom, knows. He is the ruler over these human races and to Him is due honor and praise, and He, too, owes honor and praise unto The Creation which is above all.

“So be it, if man reveres and honors God and recognizes only The Creation as the supreme power, he thereby acts rightly in truth.
