Dr. Paul's Speech - Rally for the Republic

Sept. 2, 2008 One of the things we love so much about Dr. Paul is that he never reads canned speeches - he always speaks from his head, and, his heart. For the Rally for the Republic, Dr. Paul worked hard on an outline and wanted to share his notes.. » read more

We got a big response on the REAL ID campaign -- it points the way to the future

August 6, 2008 Quote of the Day: "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." -- attributed to Edmund Burke Subject: We got a big response on the REAL ID campaign -- it points the way to the future Our message yesterday about the exchange between Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff and Governor Schweitzer of Montana got a big response. So many DC Downsizers tried to take action all at once that it overwhelmed our website. Some people had trouble sending messages as a result. We've fixed part of the problem, and our capacity is about to get better as we install our new servers.. » read more

The Only Thing That Americans Have To Fear is Americans

June 29, 2008 Introduction:  My Palette of Persuasion combines an eclectic mix of genres to depict the life-cycle of domestic spying: Conception to interception.  Upon reading one might decide that I have gone overboard when combining visual, auditory, and multiple writing formats to bring the subject to life.  However, in my pursuit for everlasting freedom I will take this chance.  The underlying theme of the essay explores the canons of America’s Charters of Freedom, and makes the point that freedom is a gift, rather than a right.  Will freedom’s bell continue to ring, or will it be silenced?  Will the White Man’s brand of Democracy fail?  Is the U.. » read more

Global Article 9 Campaign to Abolish War Launched in Japan

Monday, June 3, 2008 ARTICLE 9: JAPANESE CONSTITUTION: Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes. (2) In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized. After World War II, the victorious allied powers, implementing a transition to democracy in Japan, required Japan to forego any future aggressive military action by including a provision in their new Constitution to renounce war and the threat or use of force. But by 1950, following the outbreak of the Korean War, when US General MacArthur ordered the establishment of a 75,000-strong Japanese National Police Reserve equipped with US Army surplus materials, numerous assaults have been made on the integrity of Article 9.. » read more

Switching a National Psyche From War to Peace - Japanese Style

Thursday 22 May 2008 I've been speaking throughout Japan for the past 14 days on issues of war and peace and the Japanese Constitution. That Constitution was imposed by the United States after World War II and mandated the Japanese government and people abandon war. Article 9 of their Constitution says: Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes. (2) In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained.
