4-21 -21 Lux Botics are producing "ultra-realistic humanoids" with speech control, facial recognition function and artificial intelligence capabilities. The model includes speech control, facial recognition, a “hyper realistic eyes” option and even the option of implanted real hair, as well as limited AI capabilities. However, the company also offers the option of creating a facsimile of a lost loved one. The company can either create a 3D model through detailed modeling prior to it being printed in ultra-fine resolution, or it can rely on photos of the individual. A mould would then be constructed based on the 3D model, complete with a robot skeleton.

12-10-18 An unfortunate “robot mishap” was behind a bear repellant spray incident at an Amazon warehouse that sent dozens of workers to the hospital. The accident comes at a time when many Amazon warehouse workers are already on edge as they see robots increasingly taking over their tasks and threatening their jobs, and now they have a whole new reason to be wary of the machines. The incident occurred last week at a New Jersey Amazon warehouse when a robot punctured a nine-ounce aerosol can of bear repellent. Fifty workers were sickened, 24 workers were hospitalized, and one was intubated and placed in intensive care in critical condition. According to a statement from Amazon, other employees were treated on scene.

Slightly heavier than a toothpick, the first wireless insect-size robot takes flight

11-2-18 Engineers from the University of Washington have created the first wireless insect-size robot, powered by a laser beam. Until now, robotic flying insects were hard-wired to an external power source because the electronics needed to power and control their wings were much too heavy. The engineers say these robo-insects are cheap to produce and can slip into tight spaces, enabling them to handle tasks the large aerial drones can't. Imagine an insect that can alight along a pipeline to sniff out gas leaks, swoop beneath plants to detect pests and disease, and slip into tiny spaces to find disaster survivors. Now imagine holding a laser that can control its every move.

Developers roll out new robo-bee: It can fly, swim, monitor environmental studies… AND people

8-26-18 When Harvard University first introduced RoboBee back in 2013, it could do little more than fly and cling to walls. Come 2018, the same research team has put out a new and improved RoboBee — one that can successfully dive into and burst out of water. The latest in a series of minuscule, flight-capable robots, this RoboBee is a mere two cm tall and has a weight about one-fiftieth that of a penny. Yet it’s fully capable of smoothly leaping into water, back out, and then making a proper landing. In order to achieve this, the team utilized a combination of experimental data and theoretical modeling to find the ideal flapping frequency for the wings in the air and in the water.

Walmart files patent for robotic bees, are they planning for future extinction?

3-16-1 8 Will there be robot-bees in the future? It has been discovered that Walmart filed for a patent for robotic bees that would be autonomous pollination drones for crops. The Robo-bee patent marks only one of six patents Walmart filed for drone farming tech. How does it work? The robotic bees would include at least one pollen applicator and one sensor to detect the pollen per device. The patent notes that there has been a steady decline of pollinators in recent years. Concerned, scientists have held discussion surrounding crop dusting the pollen onto the plants, but they think that technique would lack the targeted nature needed for the plants to thrive, which brought them to the solution of robo-bees.

10-26-17 LONDON: A humanoid robot took the stage at the Future Investment Initiative yesterday and had an amusing exchange with the host to the delight of hundreds of delegates. Smartphones were held aloft as Sophia, a robot designed by Hong Kong company Hanson Robotics, gave a presentation that demonstrated her capacity for human expression. Sophia made global headlines when she was granted Saudi citizenship, making the kingdom the first country in the world to offer its citizenship to a robot. “I want to live and work with humans so I need to express the emotions to understand humans and build trust with people,” she said in an exchange with moderator Andrew Ross Sorkin. Asked whether robots can be self-aware, conscious and know they're robots, she said: “Well let me ask you this back, how do you know you are human?” “I want to use my artificial intelligence to help humans live a better life, like design smarter homes, build better cities of the future.

5-10 -17 https://youtu.be/jPmUGq25KBk Ron: This video suggests that technology and robots will replace human labour and make humans obsolete. The idea that humans could become obsolete is ludicrous and amounts to a form of disinformational fear porn. Humans are sovereign aspects of the Creator, endowed with mind and free will which ensures that, over time, humans individually and collectively grow through creative problem solving and evolve into ever greater levels of consciousness. Accordingly humans are ultimately destined to become One with Creation and the Creator.
